Hey everyone my family just booked lunch in Norway for the princesses. Now I'm older than 9 and my family is pretty uncertain if we'll like the norweign(sp?) food will be good and if we should cancel? Any advice would be helpful.

I can't remember the price, but for lunch for the 4 of us (2 adults) one 3 year old and one baby (free) it was the same price as Ohannas for dinner. We have the DDE so it was 20% off too. It was the idea of meeting Areil in her princess dress that sold me. It was not worth it. I think the total with tip was 60 something dollars.

We were not impressed at all with the food or selction. It was the 1st time I had ever left a Disney set price meal still hungery. It was poorly run too. My DD did a great job and did very well with all the princess, but we will never do it again. If we can't get in at CRT, then it is winnie the pooh or mickey mouse for us.

I really don't recomend it. So many other palces 1st, in fact any other place in all of WDW 1st.

Go the princes room at the judges tent at MK. Much better. Infact the princess there were nicer!

We went to the Princess dinner 2 weeks ago, it was the only place we could get dinner. It was crowded and the Princesses took a long time to come our way. We were in the small room at the back & everyone seemed to have forgotten about all of us in there. The food was interesting, but my family did not enjoy it. I had the salmon and that was very good. My hubby and oldest had the pasta and added chicken. My little one had PB&J... those pocket things. We would not have regularly chosen to go there & we won't be going back. Its not our tatse. The menu is the same for lunch & dinner.

We've eaten there many times and enjoyed it. Even though the food choices are limited, it is all you can eat. The princesses and CMs are always friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. After the current refurb, there will be a cold food bar for you to choose what YOU want, along with the entrees.

The only place you can meet and greet Ariel (with legs)

Well when did u go? Also was the food good?

May 2005. No the food was not good. Some of it wasn't bad, but nothing was overly yummy. I had a chicken salad and I had to take a picture of it because I had never seen so little food in a salad before. The one tiny chicken breast was the smallest I had ever seen, on a scoop of coleslaw. We ate there once before the princess and I thought the set up was better because you could choose what you wanted more. I know it is offically all you can eat, but I didn't get that feel and our server was too busy to bring us more.

I don't recomend your family paying for it, there is much better ways to spend $ on a meal at WDW or Epcot.

I wasn't as impressed with the new menu at Garden Grill, but I heard they swicthed back some. I would go there instead of Norway if you needed a meal at epcot with charaters.

We're doing the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway in November. You get the princesses without the Norwegian food (for the less adventurous of us!) They have a pretty standard "all-you-can-eat" menu. Not a buffet, they bring it to your table similar to Liberty Tree.

Here's the Breakfast Menu

Hope this helps

We did the breakfast once and I was not pleased with it. The food was cold and everything was slopped onto a three-tiered plate thing and put in the middle of the table and they seemed annoyed if you asked for anything more. I much prefer the breakfast at CRT, food is always hot and is served individually plated, service excellent and atmosphere the best. I'd even prefer the Crystal Palace over Norway.

I am not one to complain about disney much. For the most part I love it, but I got to tell you the food and service at norway is the wrost.

DisneyFans!, gave me an idea. If you don't want breakfest (there is much better breakfests out there, like Cap May Cafe at Y&B and many others). What about dinner at 1900 Park Fare at GF. It is a few dollars more then some of the buffets, but the food is REALLY good and you still get Cinderella. You don't get as many princesses, but still fun and "royal". Did I mention the food is really good? :slurp: You will need PS before you leave, but like a few weeks ahead, not 60 days to the day.

Serousily stay away from Norway. :hammer: No offence to the country, but Epcot does not do it justic for food and throwing in princesses doesn't make up for it.

Did it in April and it was sooooooo bad that I complained to the manager and wrote a letter to WDW customer service. The food portions were ridiculously small, the staff was very indifferent, the Princesses were few and far between, the waitress actually started to clean our table off before we were even done or had seen all the Princesses. I have heard that they have gone back to buffet style which might make things better but I won't go back.

We did this breakfast in May 2005. Our waiter (hey Lars!!) who is way yummier then the breakfast. :lookaroun But everyone was very friendly and the Princesses were great and took their time at each table. Now the food, it came in a frying pan type thing. It was eggs, potatoes and sausage, with rolls. It was ok but not great. We basically went there because Cindy's was booked.

Most ever...

When I took my daughter to the breakfast, she at 4 servings of the fruit and 2 plates of the bacon. That's a HUGE deal for a 4 year old who usually picks at things, gets distracted, then is STARVING at exactly the wrong time.

I enjoyed the breakfast (better if they had mimosas, but it was the food & wine fest, so I didn't have to wait until noon. It was VACATION ok? ) and will DEFINITELY go back.

I can't remember where i heard it but I believe they are reverting back to the more traditional foods. It won't be exactly how it was before, but they will have more of the foods that were there before.

Norway Princess

Hey, I already booked a breakfast for 11/3. I decided on this just for the princesses, my DD will definitely enjoy any of the princesses there. About food, we're the ones eating there. Last time in Ohana, she didn't touch her food, she was so excited that she just had a tiny bite from the mickey waffle and that's it. I think she will again do the same.

I asked about this restaurant a while back on this very board and was told it was good. Eh? What is going on? I was asking about breakfast though, so is the breakfast good and the rest not?

I really hate the whole idea... Takes out all the romance from the Very well themed Norway pavillion... Still think it's a bad idea...

not worth it

We had breakfast there last year and it was the worst meal we have ever had on Disney property--and we do a ton of character buffets. We were also stuck in the back room and 3 of the characters all came at the same time while we were just getting situated (which is a big deal for us since we have 4 small children and one with special needs who takes a few minutes to get settled and accustomed) and that was the end of the characters for us. 2 of them never even came to our table--Belle and Ariel of course since they are the favorites. The service was terrible. It was a big deal to ask for more food and even if we only asked for one thing, they brought us out a whole other platter which ended up being wasted since there were only a few things we ate. The food was not very good either. We also complained and wrote a letter to Disney since this was our worst experience ever (and I really am not one to complain or write letters). I hope your experience is better than ours, but by reading some of the other responses, it sounds like I am not the only one to have a problem with this meal. :(

i went there for breakfast about 2-3 weeks ago ... it was good
we were schedualed for and 8:30am meal and we were almost at spaceship earth when a nice lady in a cart asked if we were going to the breakfast and then gave the 4 of us a ride which was great!
We waited for 8:30 and when it hit we were the first ones seated right by the door the princesses come through.

the meal started out with some yummy cinnamon role things that were warm and smelled great and a fruit plate with strawberries melons and pineapple i had orange juice and coffee. The rest of the meal was a huge mound of tasty scrambled eggs (they were pretty good eggs ...tasted much better than some places i have been) and a pile of bacon and a few sausages along with some tasty potatos (they were like scalloped potatos) with some biscuits as well.
We were all stuffed and didn't even come close to finishing what was all brought to our table.

We had 5 princesses ... they came out almost right away but don't stay too long at any one table ...they ask the kids a few questions, sign autographs and take some pictures then off to the next table.
It started with belle who was nice and asked our "princess" if she like to read and had she read belle's story etc. ,five minutes later we had snow white who was really sweet. Then Jasmine and Mulan (who was funny) and then Princess Aurora.
I took some video it was great.

I do recomend the breakfast .I cant wait to get my pictures together.

rosie.ca, sounds like breakfest is a better meal. (if you like breakfest, right now DD and I can't eat eggs for her allgeries so there woudln't be much for us, as is the case for most breakfests.) However as said before there are much better breakfest charter meals out there.

If you got to do Norway, go for breakfest.

I was thinking about it and the princess lunch and Dinner at norway are the only 2 meals I can think of that I wouldn't let a friend eat at. (or would strongly discurage.) :lookaroun
