Hi. I was on the actual Walt Disney World website yesterday. I noticed that the rates for various villas such as Beach Club, BoardWalk and Old Key West aren't up yet for May 19-25 2014 yet. Does anyone know when they'll list their prices? Thanks.

I just did a check, and all 3 of them have their rates up. $414 for OKW and $477 at both BWV and BCV. BUT, they are all already booked at that time. The only villa resort with availability is SSR. Looks like the DVC owners have them pretty much all booked up.

They only release the Villas to the public to book at 6 months out. You will not be able to book a Villa until then so you should be able to book in November. We before joining DVC this year always booked villas and the rooms do not get released until after the booking windows for DVC members are done. :)

Glad I could help!!! Usually at the 6 month mark we never had a problem getting a room at any of the DVC resorts. Just make sure you try to do it right at that mark to have the best availability. :)

I booked at Boardwalk Villas at almost 8 months out recently. Booked for Feb 2014. I think you can book now if you want to.

Yeah sometimes they release a limited amount of Villas early but the majority won't be released until that 6 month mark. DVC members book at home resorts 11 months out, then they can book non home resorts at 7 months out that's why the public generally cannot book until 6 months out. Some rooms are owned by Disney not DVC members so sometimes those are the rooms released earlier and there is not many of those at each DVC resort so it may look like the Villa rooms are all booked until 6 months out. We are DVC members but before up until last Dec when we were not this was explained to me by my Disney Travel Agent. Hope this all makes sense. Lol :)

Ok. Well I am glad I booked early then. I suggest others do the same if they can.

Thanks for explaining. :)

Yw! Yes and no as They will probably not get to book early in what I was saying. Usually the bulk of the rooms to the public are released at 6 months. We never could usually get a room until the 6 months out and it was fairly easy to get one if they do it right at 6 months as we always did. You are one if the lucky ones to snag a DVC room early.
Question for you though did you book a Boardwalk Inn room or the Boardwalk Villa (studio, 1 bed villa, or 2 bed villa)? I'm asking b/c some think the whole resort is DVC but it is not all DVC. Half is a regular deluxe resort and you can book a year in advance. Just curious. I just want to make sure I was giving you the right info. :)

I booked a 2 bedroom villa on the Villa side of the resort, not the inn side. I have been to Disney many times and am usually pretty well versed in things like this. I am sure I am not confused as to what I have booked. I did not make the decision to book this expensive room lightly. I priced out many rooms, and asked many questions on this site and of Disney staff. When I called to book they gave me pricing for Beach Club Villas as well, although that was for a 1 bedroom (didn't ask for a 2 bedroom there).

The reason I wanted to book before the 6 month mark was to be able to book my ADR's at all once. Also, to be sure I got the room I wanted.

I wasn't saying you were mistaken at all I just wanted to make sure I was telling you the right thing as that's why I asked. It's a common mistake even for well versed guests. I was just covering all the bases to give the right advice to others. Another tip keep an eye out for discounts on the rooms as it gets closer we usually were able to get a room discount once they were released usually around 35% if they had the particular room available to re book with the discount. With how expensive those rooms costs those room only discounts come in handy! Lol :)

Yes that is what I am hoping for! Keeping my fingers crossed for 35%! I have an AP too! :)

Wishing you luck! I purchased an AP last time just to have a better chance at a discount and was well worth it in the end as the discount we received from it went well over what we paid for the AP. Saved almost $3000 on the room as we were staying 10 days. Hope you all have a wonderful time!! :)
