Priceline

We just got word our flight home was changed and are thinking about adding an extra night to our stay.

When I called Disney they said they didn't have any Garden View rooms for that night, so we'd need to downgrade or upgrade our whole stay or switch to another hotel. They also said I could check out on our original reservation's last day and then check right back in to a Standard view room and quoted me a price to do that.

After I got off the phone I looked at Priceline for the extra day and it was $50 cheaper for that one night.

My question is, does anyone have any reason why I wouldn't just go with Priceline's rate if we're going to put up with the hassle of checking out and checking back in?

No reason I can think of not to use the Priceline rate. :)

Although I think once you've checked in and are in the room, they might be able to grant you an extra night.

I looked into booking Disney rooms through other sites once and found that once all those fees are added on it costs exactly the same as through Disney. Go almost all the way through the process and see those fees at the end to see what it will really cost.

That was just my experience.

Yep, I found this to be the case last night when I went to book it.

Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up about saving on rooms

I did get a great deal ONCE on hotels.com. I got POP for 67 a night! But now they end up about the same as if you book online. However, when you stay ten nights with hotels.com you get a night for free. So I was really happy that over the past year I had booked hotels.com and had a pretty much free room in Ft. lauderdale this month. That's the only good thing about booking on another site.

Also be careful that they don't have extra cancellation fees.
