For newbies, there are no half-day parks. All of the Big Seven parks are full days, if you want to see and do all (or most) of what they have there.
I wouldn't want a newbie to only plan half a day at DHS because I think it's the worst park. That's silly.
Everyone should go to all the parks and decide for themselves. And if they have extra time, go to Gatorland.

I can spend multiple days @ each park, but have done it mostly with AP's with DVC discount. My daily cost was under $15.00 per day per person for the last dozen WDW visits. When I think of that, I cannot see spending $75.00 per park entry let alone any more than that. If it cost me $75.00 per day per person then we would not be eating or spending any other money on property.
I can also say that visiting all of those days per year we weren't always running commando through the parks expecting to do everything and some days only hit a few rides and just walked around taking in sights and people watching. To be honest, if we only spent 4 days then we would try to ride and see everything in each park every day.

rolling in the money or carrying "spirited credentials" none the less and yes i will generalize if need be....many people here generalize about the common folk they have to sometimes share the parks with...."the horror" i know photodave wishes there was GDP check for entry =P i kid i kid but really its all in good fun and i will poke fun at things that present themselves...

After thirty years, it still took me three days to do WS last trip!
And I don't drink in a theme park and didn't do m&g's. There is simply so much beauty I can't make it any faster. It takes me a full day to walk from Canada to Japan!
