Price increase?

We are new kind of to staying onsite at Disney since my parents have a nice timeshare 15min from WDW, and you can't bear a free stay. We have stayed onsite though 6/8 last trips. We've stayed mostly at deluxe and moderate and all times of the year. We have a trip booked early December 2016 at the timeshare. We were thinking of doing a quick trip between spring break and summer or mid September of 2016. I knew booking for 2016 on the website opened yesterday so I looked at pricing and was astonished by the price increase. Last year and the year before a stayed at the BC and boardwalk both trips and paid around $430 a night for both trips. When I looked yesterday those same dates I went the last 2 yrs ranged from $700-$820 a night now. That's is ridiculous. Are those prices set all year like that? Or do they just open up like that and lower? Bc if they don't they just lost an onsite stayer at deluxes. I'll only go now at my parents timeshare or a moderate like POR, CB or CS. Which I sad bc I love the deluxes.

In checking the WDW website, a standard view room in Sept 2015 is $383/night. Same time in 2016 is $411/night. Not a huge increase. The price you are seeing is for a high level club access room. In Sept 2015, that room is $791/night. In Sept 2016, it is the exact same price, so you need to be sure that you are comparing apples to apples for your pricing.

Don't trust the price that is listed to the right of the resorts when selecting what resort you want. It was listed as 744.57 a night but once I actually selected it a standard room was 495.43.

Yeah I think that's based on the "Disney's pick" room type. It'll often show Savanna View at AKL and such.

I think the standard room rate may have inched up, but then you need to consider any possible seasonal incentives they run. I'm hoping for a 20 to 25% for next spring.

I noticed the price for the tickets and meal plan seems a bit more expensive for 2016 as well. I didn't do an exhaustive comparison but the numbers I used for my last vacation in 2014 were lower then what was the case for 2016

The increases don't look to be anything dramatic. One week in a one bedroom standard view villa at Bay Lake Tower was $4,424 after tax in 2015 and $4,583 in 2016, a 3.6% increase.
