Prepaid Phones with No U.S. Address?

Hi all. I was looking into getting a prepaid cell phone when I arrived in WDW to be able to keep in touch with some friends we are meeting with while there. I have done some reserch with a few companies and the ones I looked at already require you to have a U.S. address when you activate the service. Has anyone ever purchased a prepaid phone while down in WDW and did not have to have a United States address? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Any address will do, I suspect. In my line of work, I see people(And by 'people', I mean 'bad guys') who use names like King Kong, Elvis Presley, and even Mickey Mouse when they activate those things and the phones work just fine. So, I doubt they are using real addresses.

Thank you for your reply. I thought there might be a few companies that would let u enter a address from other Countries so I phoned around to some of the Pay as You Go Companies and I was told that all that is needed is the Zip Code of the location where you are activating the phone from. I don't plan on using it anywhere else since I have a cellular provider here, but to take my phone down to WDW the plan I am on is not going to have very nice roaming charges so hopefully this will work good for us without any problems. :)

We bought a Virgin Mobile phone at the Virgin Megastore in DTD along with a $20 top-up card. Called from our room at the CBR, activated it with my name and the resort's address, no sweat.

I just signed up for the "pay-as-you-go" account, no monthly fees. We live in Canada, so now I continue to top it up with a PayPal account every three months just to keep it active. Had to use PayPal because it wouldn't accept my non-US credit card.

We've used it on several trips to the US since and lent it to friends who were vacationing in WDW. We will use it again in January when we go. Great investment!

you won't have a problem

We bought 2 AT&T phones and used the hotel address without any issue - those phones are really useful for us Canadians.

BTW, Craig, I found that I could use a Canadian credit card to fill the phones on the website if I put in a US Zip and state. It is incorrect information, but my credit card does get charged correctly and I've done this for 18 months now.
