Premier Pass Questions

I am thinking about getting the premier pass that will cover admission to DL and WDW because we are planning on spending a total of almost 30 days between the two parks between August of this year and August of 2016. We will be traveling to DL first and it seems as if I can buy the pass at the ticket booth at Disneyland. My question is, we would really like to have at least one morning where we could participate in the magical morning. So I was wondering if I could buy a 3 day pass in advance so we could get the magical morning which we would use on our first full day (second day of admission) and then upgrade to a premier pass later in the day? Would they credit my remaining days? Or would it not be worth it, and should I just forgo the magic morning and get the premier pass. And staying on property is not an option, with all the travel we plan to do, paying for a Disney hotel just isn't in the budget. Thanks for any input.

I don't know if you can still do this; but, I did the exact same thing in 2012.

Since you are going to be new to the Premier club... be sure to take advantage of the excellent discounts in park that still exist at DLR. WDW... not so much.

I am a Premier passholder and it is well worth the money. DL gives more discounts than WDW so take advantage of them. I will also tell you that CMs at WDW are not as familiar with the pass as the DL CMs. Know the discounts ahead of time. As for getting a ticket for magic mornings I seriously doubt they will upgrade once you use it. It doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck.
