The show is great from anywhere, but the preferred seating is not the best place to sit as far as viewing goes. It is all the way to the right.

However, as far as getting in and out, and making sure you have a seat, it's the best. You are allowed to enter near the front gate and go "behind" backstage to get to the ampitheater if you have the preferred tickets. I think anyone can go out that way, but you are closer and will be able to get out more quickly (or less slowly, as it were). So if this is important to you, it's a good deal.

They also hold seats in the preferred area until some time (I think 10 min, maybe longer) before the show, so you don't have to get there as early to get a seat. This is important only on crowded nights.

But as I said, you can still see everything just fine from anywhere.

We usually go on EMH night anyway, and so we want to exit over by ToT and RnRC, so it is of little advantage to us. We go a bit early and buy food from the concession in the back and eat in our seats.

Don't sit in the very front!!!!

My family and I had the pleasure of seeing fantasmic twice. In December of 06 and 07. The first time we got there just when it started and we were in the back it wasn't to bad. But the second we sat in the very front and I was wondering why people wasn't rushing to the very front they stayed more to the third row then back. Then I realized during the actual show the water creates a serious mist that by the end of the show you will be real wet. So dont sit in the first three rows unless you want to get wet...:hammer:

Preferred seating is over to the right of the arena. While the show can be viewed and enjoyed from anywhere, central positions are better

My family and I just watched it from the perferred section on Saturday and thought it was great. I didn't feel like my view of any element of the show was obstructed and I will plan on sitting there again in the future.

My boyfriend and I have preferred seating for our upcoming trip. I've been told that even though we have the reservation, we don't have to sit in the reserved area. Instead of going "backstage" to the reserved seating, is it possable for us to not use the reserve seating if we didn't want to?

I have done the dinner seating and it is not too bad, but I like the front few rows. So most of the time you can get there a little before the show and be right in the front and center! I also have seen it enough times to know that you should start moving out of your seat and up the stairs while Mickey is up on top so you can be to the top of the stairs when he is done and pops up on the stage for the last blast. Then you can miss all the traffic trying to get out of there and have a nice hard seat on the first bus.

I have to agree, the preferred seating area is not the best viewing location. When we went in April 2007 our "preferred" seating area was at the very top and off to the side quite a bit. I think that preferred seating really means that you are guaranteed a seat but, it's definately not the best in the house. If you want great seats I suggest you go extra early and find a good seat and just sit down and realx.

I recommend using the "backstage" entrance to beat the crowds trying to get in. Once inside the ampitheater, you don't have to sit in the reserved seating area if you don't want to - just keep walking across until you get to where you want to sit.

Just remember that the non-preferred seating fills up earlier, so don't go the lat minute.
