'preferred' at PORS and CBR

I know this may be a tall order but does anyone have a list of rooms or buildings that are considered 'preferred' at PORS and CBR?

I was poking around a bit but couldn't find anything specific.

I cannot answer about CBR, but at POR the preferred buildings are 14,15,18 and 27. These are the closest building to the main restaurant area, first bus stop, and pool. They will cost more but are probably worth it for the convenience. We were assigned a room in building 14 several years ago and it was the best location on site. #14 has been refurbished with the other three preferred buildings scheduled to have their refurbs finished by end of June 2012. Hope this helps.

Yeah we requested and got building 18 a couple years back at PORS.
I understand why those set of buildings would be considered preferred.

So it goes by buildings? Not just rooms?

Anyone know about CBR?

We didn't even request or book a preferred room, just given one at check in. If you book a preferred room you should automatically be assigned to one of those 4 buildings. I think we were just randomly upgraded, maybe because it was our first stay at the resort. Checking prices, I noticed that the prefered rooms were going about the same as "water" view rooms. In my opinion I would much rather a prefered building than a "water" view. BTW POFQ is usually much higher rated than CBR, and it is our favorite moderate by far. Hope you have agreat time.

I think that the rooms in the Jamaica and Aruba buildings at CBR which are near the footbridge are the most desirable on the property, and they are not Preferred, I guess because you have to walk over the footbridge to get to the food court and main pool. However, from those buildings, the walk is less than 5 minutes which is shorter than almost all the other rooms, and you get a beautiful view of the whole resort from the footbridge.

It is as close as you will get to anything official. I have tried in vein for several years to compile a room category by room number list but Disney is guarding that info like the formula for Coke.
