I think it would be good to allow some of our more opinionated members to put up -- so they feel they can shut up.
It seems this forum has one thread after another where members express opinion as fact and make predictions based on God-knows-what as if they were architects and engineers working directly on the projects.
So I say for controversial subjects -- like what's gonna happen to the golf ball -- we have a thread where members (who feel the burning desire and self-confidence) can record their predictions in detail. (One post per member.) The thread will then be CLOSED and stored in a vault.
Then, when the project is finished or discovered to be merely rumor all the predictions will be available so we can read them and discover who was right and who wasn't.
Members with accurate predictions will be awarded some sort of status, like "WDWMagic Executive Imagineer Emeritus Summa C um Laude Extraordinaire" and given the chance to post "I Told You Sos" for all the BSers to read.
Then when everyone is whining and complaining and spewing and sputtering about whether Disney is going to do this or that on this or that ride, we can just direct them to the appropriate "Put Up and Shut Up" predictions vault thread and let them do just that.
