Pre-Trip Goodness

We are only a week or so away from our August trip to WDW. :sohappy: I can't say I am not intimidated by the TouringPlans crowd calendar ratings for August 5-10 (mostly 8s and a couple 9s), but I hope to make the most of it anyway. We are staying at the Yacht Club again, which has become a favorite of ours due to it's close proximity to Boardwalk and Epcot. So far, we have a few great ADRs set up:

Il Mulino - Thurs the 5th - 7:00

Cali Grill - Fri the 6th - (for MK fireworks of course)

Le Cellier - Sat and Sun the 7th and 8th - For lunch, we don't know which one we'll end up using

Kona Cafe - Mon the 9th - 11:00 AM late breakfast

Via Napoli - Sometime during the trip

We've seen the menu for Via Napoli and it looks great. Aside from the ADRs, I'm sure we'll walk over to the ESPN Club for their heavenly wings. :slurp: And believe or not, I've never had a Dole Whip. Will definitely try one. With Flame Tree BBQ going down for refurb on the 9th, we'll be sure to get to Animal Kingdom while it's still open.

At a point, we'll make a trip over to Fantasia Fairways. What are the waits for tee times during early August? I've read that it can get crowded at night.

By the way anyone have any tips on dealing with the summer crowds? we went last august 12-17 and lines were almost non existant! i dont know whether or not to expect this again or if we will be dealing with huge crowds

The best advice I can give for beating the summer crowds is get to the parks early - right at opening, and since you are staying on site at Disney, take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours. Hit the most popular attractions at the parks first when the lines are short, and save the others for later morning and afternoon when it's at its busiest.

Hope you have a great trip, and definitely take the time to try a Dole Whip! :slurp:
