Pre-Preliminary Trip Planning - New Rides to experience?

Hi,

August 2008 will mark 2 years that I have not been to WDW. I was considering a trip this summer.

Here is my question to the ride/trip planning experts on the boards: Will mid-2008 be a good year to see refurbished and new attractions?

I know they remodeled Haunted Mansion, PoC, and SSE...but for the sake of seeing new renovations, rides, and park additions since 2006, would it be worth it?

Also, any new onsite hotels since 8-2006?

Thanks!

No new resorts and I personally think there is always something new to see. If you haven't been in 2 years I am sure there will be plenty of "new" things to enjoy

They've done some updating in different resorts. For example Poly redid its store area and Captain Cooks (with great new menu). Contemporary redo is in progress. (Not to mention the building od DVC at Contemporary). They have started opening the DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Have you been to Saratoga Springs, yet? They also updated the food served in many food court areas of resorts offering more healthier choices and choices other than just chicken fingers/burgers.

IMHO- any opportunity to visit WDW is worth it! Have you done Soarin' or Expedition Everest yet? I'd come just for a shot at staying in Cinderella's Castle. Hey- somebody gets to do it every day! Why not me?

They also have the new Pirates and Princess party at MK.

Am I sounding like a commercial yet?

Whatever you decide- may your next WDW visit be everything you hope it to be! :)

Soarin' is great, and worth a trip from anywhere (of course, I'll take ANY excuse for a trip to WDW!) :ROFLOL:

Seriously, though, lots of things have been refurbished in the last two years, and I think you'll be very pleased. You might make a point of visiting those attractions that tend to be a bit off the beaten path, and that you may not have seen on your last visit - the Treehouse, Tom Sawyer's Island, etc., too.

In any case, go and have fun!
