Pre-cruise covid test for kids question

Hey all,
I’m hoping someone has been on a DCL cruise with small kiddos recently. We have a trip in February (and I know everything can change between now and then) with my three kids as well as several little cousins, many under the age of 5 and so not vaccinated. I’m holding out some hope that maybe vaccines will be available for some of the little kids before then, but since that’s iffy at best I’m hoping for some advice.
-Where did people get their kids’ pre-cruise test done? Our cruise departs on Monday and we’re flying down Saturday. Currently we have a rental car booked.
-Has anyone used the testing at the airport (MCO)? I tried contacting them but didn’t get a response. Do they have a lower age limit?
-If the test needs to be done at most 3 days before the cruise, when is that exactly? Is it 72 hours from departure? From our arrival at the port? Is it 3 days? If our cruise leaves Monday, when is the furthest out we can do the test? Is it Friday or Saturday?
I know it’s pretty far out, but I’m the unofficial planner for our group (we have 5 rooms booked) and we like to have a plan.
Thanks for any advice!

There are currently two different testing options at MCO. One is run by AdventHeath Centra Care and the other by Safe Passage (DCL Partner). Testing by AdventHeath at MCO will run $175 for a PCR test and they don't take insurance at that location. Testing by Safe Passage is the same cost as thru DCL ($98.33) and can be schedule using the DCL Safe Passage link. If you order an in-home test kit from the DCL Safe Passage, those can be dropped off at the Safe Passage MCO test site also.

Oh thanks! This is super helpful. I’ve looked at the Advent health info online. I’m totally fine paying the fee, but didn’t realize there are two options at the airport. My biggest concern at the moment is the baby, but it’s still a few months out so we’ll wait and see what the protocol is when we get closer. In the meantime I’ll look into the safe passage testing. Thanks again!
