My fiancée and I got back Monday night from our 3rd trip to the world in less than a year. Let me get a little backstory in first. We went in March 2013, we knew we were going again that November, so we priced passes and we realized we'd come out about $50 ahead if we just got ap's. That summer I said to my fiancée, Victoria, that I'd really like to squeeze one more visit out of the ap's to really get their money's worth out of it. I suggested my bday weekend (1/26). But I work at Metlife Stadium where the superbowl will be on 2/2, so I didn't wanna miss out on what can be a ton of potential overtime. We then decided the weekend before. So we priced flights, and they were just a smidge much out of our way financially. No joke, the very next day I get an e-mail from MasterCard, and the long story short was, I had 18,000 reward points that were gonna expire! We put them towards the flight and got one of our tix for free!
So we were off!
My best friend Carl was nice enough to drive us to the airport at 4 in the morning and the only thing he asked for in exchange was that I buy him dinner the night before. He stayed at me and Victoria's place, I stayed up with him for a while, but eventually went to bed around 1 am. He stayed up watching wrestling dvd's.
4 am came incredibly fast, good god! Why can't 3 hours go that fast during the work day!? Well we were up and off.
I live in North New Jersey (unfortunately). Which means I live about 10 minutes from where the Superbowl will be. So there was a ton of construction going on and just about blocking off a ton of routes to the airport. This was clearly not very magical, but we got there. Breezed right through security, and onto the plane where I passed out for a good third of the flight.

good god do I love seeing this!
I'm proud to say I wore this obnoxious nametag all weekend
So we check in at All Star Movies, and the first room we were given, I wasn't a happy camper right off the bat. Because A) I'd put in a request for a king size bed, and instead we were given 2 doubles. I could see if we went during a mid-heavy crowded time of the year. But we went during one of the most dead times of the year. B) Victoria used the bathroom, and when she turned on the light, there were a TON of bugs in the light and one of them was moving. So we were trying to tough it out until C) we smelled mold, and Victoria has a mold allergy. I called the front desk and told them they could either upgrade us at no extra charge considering the 2 people in front of us checking in got said upgrades cause they were overbooked or give me a room with a king size bed that was clean. Take a guess at what option they went with?
This was our new building
And this was our room!
More to come later!
