Powerpass expiration / renewal

Hi - My Powerpass was first used January 22, 2015. What is the last day I can use it (January 21 or 22 2016)?

Also, if I renew, can I change the level of pass (upgrade from a powerpass to a premier, of whatever they call it) and if so, is it at the new level as of the moment I renew and upgrade, or is the upgrade effective as of the expiration of my current pass? For example if I renew/upgraded to a non-blackout pass, could I use it New Years when the powerpass is blacked out?

Thanks in advance. This is our first year with an annual pass. Our second use will be in August and plotting a third use next January. In order to save a few $100 on tickets, I'll spend a few $1000 on airfare and hotels! Maybe this isn't such a good deal!

I am almost positive that January 22, 2016 would be the last day that your PowerPass will be valid. If you upgrade to a Premiere then those benefits will be available to you on January 23, 2016.

Thanks! That's what I figured, but didn't want to influence any answers. Just as well, as I'm sure that New Years is a time to stay away from theme parks!

So I just called universal. They told me that if I first used my pass on jan 22 2015, it would be valid through jan 23 2016. This seems odd to me, but works out because we might just go that weekend and then let it lapse for a year.

Seems like it is good for 366 days maybe. Edit: that is actually more like 367 days.
