power outages

Power will be brought up slowly. It needs to be brought up in stages. So the demand isnt high, turn off your lights and any other appliances * AC *. Why am i posting this with people with no power?

Some people run on Battery and phone.

Believe it or not, the line between power and no power in NJ runs less then 5 minutes north of my house. Thank goodness I still have power (and AC) But for all you unfortunate ones to my north, I have turned off everything that is not necissary right now to help conserve power. Stay cool all, I know its gross out there!

Had the power out here in Southern NY (about 20 miles from NYC) from about 4:15 to 7:30. The second the power went out, the county fire radio lit up with huge amounts of "automatic alarms" as the alarms, now run under battery power began to malfunction. There were also confirmed fires at 2 major power plants in the county (Rockland County).

As far as I know, our county is back up and running. Hope everything is well with all people affected.

Well I am down here in Camden County, NJ and our power has been fine. This part of the state is in the PJM grid and we are just dandy. But I have back up power for my computer so I would still be on no matter what.

I wonder if all this has any thing to do with the Blaster Worm. On TV they said they were not sure.
