PotC: At World's End Premiere at DL?

Hey Guys,
Sadly I've never been to Disneyland, but my family and I just noticed we have 150 points leftover for next year, and I remembered that there will probably be a premiere with red carpet and the whole ordeal at DL like for the previous Pirates movies. The easiest date for my family to go is memorial day weekend, and that Friday is the official wide release date of the movie. If I remember correctly for at least the 2nd film, the premiere at DL was what, 2 weeks before the wide release? I'll be taking finals at college until the 14th at latest, and seeing that the events schedule for May hasn't been posted yet for DL, I was curious to see if anyone knows the date or an estimate for the date of the premiere at DL.

It might be at DL this year. I read somewhere that they are thinking about having it on the beach to promote Disney's cruise line. I don't know when the date is though...sorry.

I hope it's at DL because if it is, I'm probably going to go. :sohappy:

Just so you know, I've heard anyone who has a park ticket can come and see the celebrities on the red carpet in the park, but only special VIP people are invited to the actual Premiere.

It could be in Disneyland this year. But the movie is coming out May 25th, so the movie might premiere 2 weeks before that, if they do what they did last year.

But, there is some speculation that Disney World might get their own premiere since there is a big Pirate event in the Contemporary and on the Seven Seas Lagoon planned right around when the movie will be released. The event will have Special Talent arriving and a Q & A session, but what that means and who is coming to the event has yet to have been revealed.

From a friend who works at the Disney Studios, the next Pirates movie premiere will be held Saturday, May 19th.

It's a 98% chance that it will be held at Disneyland for a third time, but the formal and official decision will not be made until the middle of January.

As far as the cruise line goes, all the ships are back in the Atlantic by this point aren't they?

I know, I just saw the online site for the WDW pirate event. The premiere will not be held at WDW.

But if you buy certain packages, you will be priority seating to the midnight screening premiere at the AMC 24 theater at Downtown Disney.:xmas:

Thats true, but if you go online when the tickets go onsale you can see it at midnight for far less
