Post Space Mountain Closing Traffic Patterns

The typical advice from Disney veterans is to avoid Space Mountain early in the morning... either head straight to FantasyLand or AdventureLand and hit TomorrowLand later. Now that Space Mountain is closed for refurb, have crowd traffic patterns in Magic Kingdom changed so that the previous advice is no longer applicable (at least while Space Mountain is closed)?

I would say that things like Splash and Big Thunder are seeing heavier crowds earlier in the day (when a lot of the early morning people would head to Space). I think that you are just going to see longer lines at the more popular attractions overall when Space is closed and not holding those few extra thousand people an hour.

So it sounds like it's more of a capacity issue and less of a change in patterns. I think I might keep my strategy of hitting FantasyLand first and then heading directly towards Frontierland (Splash Mountain).

I think the big change in pattern would really only be seen in the morning. Splash and Thunder will be more crowded as less people go over to Tomorrowland to ride Space (and then the other TL attractions).
