Post-New Years Crowd

Since it looks like Purdue will be playing in a bowl game on New Year's in FL this year, a week at WDW seemed like a great idea.

Does anyone know what kind of crowds to expect after Jan 1st? I'll probably be there the 2nd or 3rd through the 8th. I've gotten used to dealing with crowds since starting college. My only breaks fall around holidays. My guess is that some of the families would be heading home since youngsters will be starting school again on the 5th. Any help is appreciated!

Attendance is usually high on the 1 and 2 with the days after having a very sharp and noticeable decline of guests. Hope that helps. Hope you have fun.

Hi there, we will be at WDW Jan 1 to 7 (I wanted to stay until the 8th, but hubby has a meeting on the 9th and he wants to be home the day before just in case)

We have never gone in Jan before (once Dec 13 to 20th and we loved that.) But Mr. PhD (the true PhD in this family) teaches college and his school changed their semesters.

I am a little worried about the crowds on the 1st, but hope most people leave shortly after that.

The 1st and 2nd are the most crowded. After that, attendance drops off quite a bit.

On the 2nd, you'll find the people that support the winners wearing their hats and shirts, while the losers quietly might tell you where they are from. :lol:
