Possible surprise trip in Mid-March??

Hey guys! I want to surprise my boyfriend with a trip to Disney on March 14-21 (i think those dates are good) for his birthday! How are the crowds at this time and does anyone know if any kind of discount/free DDP will be offered too? Also, we always stay at either POP or POFQ. However, we were always looking to stay at Coronado Springs on a trip. Reviews on this hotel anyone?? Thanks for the help!

There's no guarantee that they will have discounts/free DDP, but whenever we go in March, there are usually discounts as long as it's not Easter week. I've never noticed a free DDP during March, either. They probably figure there are enough people eating in the parks during spring break that they don't need to do that.

I just got back from Disney during Easter Week this year. There was no free DDP offer, but the few weeks before my trip Disney did have discounts on their hotels. Most likely Disney will do that promotion again next year.

Coronado Springs does have beautiful landscaping, but the resort is very large. The furthest rooms from the main building are about 1 mile away. The rooms have a wood divider between the vanity area and the sleeping area, which keeps much more of the light and noise out compared to the cloth divider found at the other Moderates.

With it being spring break time parks can be very crowded. The closer to Easter the more crowded.
