Possible silly question

Just back from 3 weeks at Disney and had a question which may have already been discussed, sorry if so. We noticed building going on between IASW and the HM when we were there and wondered what it's going to be? I figured that whatever it is you'll only have access to it from the side of IASW otherwise you'd be seeing the back of IASW and HM. Any ideas and thanks in advance.

Mega restroom area and a relaxation area. The low walls were designed to sit upon, lots of trees will be planted for a break from the hot sun, there will also be infrastructure to hook up to WiFi and recharging stations for all of your electronics.

There will be a relaxation and recharge are also on the Circus area too and from what I understand both indoor and outdoor giving guests a break from touring and heat.

This will be a new Tangled themed restroom area so they can re-purpose the space used by the restroom near Peter Pan. This area will also provide a second path between Fantasyland and Liberty Square which will help with the bottleneck that currently exists there.

And you learn something everyday! I had heard way back when that the hole they punched out to lead to the HM would be the only pass through and that the pass through by the new queue for PP would be sealed.
Amen! Two is better than one!

I hadn't heard anywhere that they were closing the current pass-through. There really wouldn't be a reason to. While it would be OK from the Liberty Square side, it would be quite the awkward dead-end on the Fantasyland side with only a door into Columbia Harbor House.

You know when I had heard that way back when I was like, really? Then again I have had a great deal of Really? moments with Disney over the years so 'dumb move' never surprises me and I just haven't heard a lot of chatter over pathways to realize that wasn't going to be the case ultimately. So good news. : )

Now if you can do something about the American CM costumes in the World Showcase I'll owe ya one!

I have a question about the peter pan entrance. WIll they wall off the entrance there now and the new entrance will be at the old bathroom or will the entance start where it does now and then take you through the bathroom area and back.

Thanks for that it's really interesting. My main question about that is will the show buildings for IASW and HM be visible from that area or is it all covered? Certainly peering through the fence last week the show building for IASW was clearly visible.

The Small World building was always kinda visible, though they covered it as best they could with the castle wall motif. And the Mansion show building was visible from a few limited angles because of the access alleyway that is there. I presume they'll at least get things back to that point.

As for the D-Zone, from the design plan that came out showing the mosaic stonework, it appears that'll be the large open area bordered at the northern edge by the walls and planters with a perfect circular edge.

I'd guess that the area north of *that* (bordered by the D-Zone, the women's room and the IASW building) will be stroller parking.
