Port to Airport

I’m not sure if anyone will be able to help me out but it’s worth a shot.
My husband and I are taking our first Disney cruise this January. We are sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. I realize this Port literally just opened so I’m having trouble find helpful info online.
The day we return, it says we dock at 8am. I originally booked our flight home for 1:30pm. The port is 8 minutes from the airport and I already booked Disney transportation.
I got an email this morning that our flight was changed to 10:55am There is another flight at 1:40 but there is a long layover and we wouldn’t land at home til 11pm. Which means grandparents at home with our kids would have to stay another day.
If we do the early walk out, and only pack a backpack and carry on to avoid checking bags, do you think we would make the 10:55am flight?

That could be tight if the ship arrives late or gets held up w customs. We have done a noon flight (PC to MCO) with plenty of time to spare but we were pretty nervous about it. Express walk off is the ticket for sure.

However that was also pre-covid for what it’s worth.

Update- I changed our flight. We’ve exclusively been flying Southwest for years as we have their card to earn points. But I was way too nervous with the 10:55 flight. I cancelled and booked a different flight with United that leaves at 12:20pm.
