Port Orleans Riverside walking distances

I was wondering if someone could give me the amount of time it takes to walk from building 24 or 36 to the main lobby building. I have read where a lot of people say things like, "it is quite a hike" to "it was a quick walk." I was looking for something more along the lines of it took me ten minutes.

I'm looking at the maps and nothing seems to awfully far. But, to put it into perspective, I walk almost ten minutes from where I park into my office everyday.

Also curious if we stayed in POFQ building 7, about how long would it take to walk to the POR main lobby building?

Thanks,
Michael

I stayed in building 34 at Riverside and it was between a 10-15 minute walk to the main lobby. It was a very relaxing, nice walk through the trees and over the bridges in the Alligator Bayou section. We never used the bus stop outside the lobby because it's the last theme park bus stop. The West Depot is the first park bus stop. So when we were in building 34, it was a 2 minute walk to our room (I requested a room close to that bus stop), we would stop by the room and drop off our things and pick up our refillable mug and walk straight to the lobby. We would pick up our packages and sit outside for a while and go back to our room. It was really nice how it all worked out.

We were in 24 last May. It was a pretty long walk, albeit pretty and serene. I would go and grab coffee for myself in the morning while everyone was getting ready and it took me over 30 minutes to get there and back. You are also quite a distance to the main pool. It was nice to be right next to the parking lot, because we drove, but next time we stay we will book a preferred room. If you have a ton of resort time then its enjoyable, but if you are wanting to go grab something really quick from the lobby, gift shop, or food court, its not a quick trip. We actually drove over to the lobby parking area when we went to the pool just so we didnt have to tote our drinks, sunscreen, pool bag, etc. all the way to the pool.

Thank you for the replies! This gives me better times to work with and think about.

I'm thinking about a trip next year with the youngest son (12) while the wife and two older kids are in Europe. He really liked POR from the pictures we looked at, and the Alligator Bayou part the best. I just couldn't get a firm grip on actual times.

Thanks,
Michael

According to Google Maps, it's 0.8 MI and 16 min from bldg 36 to the POR food court. Bldg 24 is 0.5 MI and 10 min. POFQ bldg 7 to POR food court is 0.3 MI and 7 min. YMMV, depending on how fast you usually walk. HTH.

Our first stay at POR in 2007 we were in building 24 and it was a pretty far walk to the main building. The only good thing, was having the West Depot bus stop right outside of our rooms. It isn't too bad if you don't mind the walking. It took us a day or two to get used to the path and not get lost lol.

I have only stayed in the royal rooms, building 90 since then and the walk was only 2-3 minutes to the main building, which is much nicer.

We will be staying at POFQ May 2019 was wondering if any one has stayed in building 4 or 5--- pros and cons?

We have stayed in both buildings 4 & 5, and we love both of them, though my husband likes 4 better. 4 is right beside the main building, so as close to the food court, store, bus stop, & check-in as possible. 5 is just across the "street" from 4, and they are perpendicular to each other. If being close to the parking lot is important to you, then 4 is closer, since 5 is sort of in the middle of the resort and part of it is pool view (our room was on the other side of the building with a courtyard view, and I don't remember any pool noise - if that's important to you).
