You can make that request, as long as the room type you booked isn’t one that only exists in the Bayou buildings.

For example I believe the 5th sleeper rooms are all in the Bayou section. So if you have 5 people in your room, your request for the Mansions won’t be met.

I don’t know what the chances are otherwise. Make sure to get the request in a couple of weeks before your stay. And when you arrive go to the front desk and ask if the request has been met. If it hasn’t, that’s the time they might be able to move you. Don’t enter the room first and then ask to be moved.

We’ve found they’re very good at helping with building requests. Like @nickys stated it depends on what type of room you reserved. We have found it’s best to get there as early as possible. Arriving later the pool of rooms available shrinks.

As others have said it depends on the room you booked. But they often try to meet requests if possible. Just call the reservations number and ask them to make a notation on your reservation. I once asked to stay in either building 25 or 34 in Alligator Bayou for proximity to the West Depot, which is the first theme park bus stop. I was so happy when they put us in 34 as close as possible to the bus stop!!
