Port Orleans Riverside Boat Rentals

I never knew these existed until yesterday!

Can you hire a boat and take it down the river to Downtown Disney???

Can just anyone hire a boat and whizz off up the river? Seems a little dangerous to me.

Is so, then how much does it cost?

The last time I was there, they told us you could rent a boat and go up and down the river, but you aren't allowed into the DD marina. If you rent a boat at DD, you can't leave the marina. In fact we rented one of the water mice at DD and if you get too close to the entrance of the river, the disney coast guard would make you go back.

Actually there are maps by the marinas telling you how long it will take you (approximately) to go from one area to another. You can rent a boat (price depends on which boat you want) and take a trip up the river from one resort to another.

OK here are the boats and prices...

Canoes- 6 for 1/2 hour, 12 for an hour

Canopy Boats- 20 dollars for 1/2 hour

Pedal Boats- 6 for 1/2 hour, 12 for an hour

Pontoon Boats- 29 for 1/2 hour, 48 for an hour

Water Mice (Downtown Disney only)- 19 for 1/2 hour

**Also other boats can be rented at other locations (many others at MK resorts), but I gave you the list of what is available at POR and DTD. Some of these may not be available at rental though.
