I was just updating myself on current rumors and read that the Orlando Sentinel has reported that POFQ is to reopen in the summer....If they're opening a whole resort back up, could this mean that they're possibly going to be able to afford to keep Timekeeper and Carousel of Progress open again??? Because it seems to me that it would be a lot less expensive to operate 2 attractions than a whole resort.......

It's not cheaper to run the attractions than the resort.

At the resort, Disney makes income with rooms, meals, merchandise.

MK's money has to be split up into each attraction, merch shop, and resturant. Timekeeper and COP aren't really making any money for MK or Disney.

They actually gain a lot from resorts. Since there is so much to get there (food, room, shops, and games). The parks of course make more but that is mainly because of all the other than Disney resort guests that go there. If only Disney resort guests went to the theme parks, then they wouldn't make too much extra with parks.

Don't look for them to close a whole resort again, just maybe certain buildings.
