I think they learned that a total closure wasn't the best way to handle it. So don't expect to ever see an entire resort close again. They may do building and room closings from time to time depending on crowd levels, but probably not a total resort shutdown. Also PO-R will be completely open (all buildings) soon too.

Sounds great. Looks like Disney is stopping some of the cutbacks. Maybe they figured they made a mistake by closing the whole resort!

Like anyone cares since I just got here, but I am SO happy! POFQ is my fav resort - at least of the ones I can afford to actually stay in, that is!

I've never stayed at POFQ, but are planning to stay there in November. I'ts my sister's favorite resort. I have taken the boat and walked from POFQ to Dixie Landings (I still call it DL). When we were kids my family always spent Christmas in Florida visiting our Grandparents so we would always stop at Disney World. We would drive down and always be in Disney around the middle of December, right before the large crowds. We never had to wait on a line, but it was usually cold. We never stayed inside Disney because It was too expensive, Poly & Contemp, were the only choices at the time. We would stay at Wilson World (Is it still around?) and many other places. Now, I stay in Disney. My first resort was the Boardwalk Villas, so far my favorite, then All Star Movies then All Star Music. I'll skip All Stars in the future, too Noisy, far away, crowded food courts and just not the Disney experience I want. The price was right, $59.00, and we still had a great time but I kept wishing that we were at a moderate resort the whole time.
