Port Orleans Free Beignets

Recently we visited Port Orleans one morning to take advantage of the current free deal if purchasing a specialty beverage at Scat Cats and were told this is only good after 4:30pm. We are FL Resident Annual Passholders. Anyone know the facts on this? Seems like this should be available in the mornings.

It’s a promotion intended to draw business to Scat Cat’s, which is a lounge and not open in the morning.

The beignets are made in Sassagoula Floatworks (food court) which DOES NOT need to draw business by offering free beignets in the mornings (or really any time of day!)

Somehow I can't see alcohol and beignets as a good mix... At Cafe du Monde in New Orleans I had beignets with a great cup of French coffee.

Seems like this should be available in the mornings.

Beignets are appropriate at any time of day. They are especially tasty during/after a night of drinking in the French Quarter.
