We stayed there in October 2012, not long after the rehab was completed.
Since your room sleeps 5, you must be in Alligator Bayou, as were we. We thought the room was beautiful and really enjoyed the lush theming of the resort and the convenient (and scenic) Sassgoula River ferryboat to Downtown Disney. The Murphy bed in the room was adorable and we really appreciated the double sinks and privacy curtain in the vanity area. While the Murphy bed does diminish the drawer space, we just put all the kids' clothes in the drawers and hung our own clothes (and stored the laundry) in the vanity area. (
*** PLEASE NOTE: Several online sources, including the unofficial Port Orleans site and the Disney Mom's Panel, note that the "accessible" rooms in Alligator Bayou do not have the Murphy bed, meaning there aren't accessible rooms that sleep 5 unless they've saved some of the old pre-refurbishment trundle beds. If you asked for an accessible room and need 5 sleeping spaces, you'll want to check up on that!) There's a also some storage next to the fridge, was was super-handy for the breakfast foods and snacks we brought.) We had excellent bus service and seldom had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bus (especially in the morning) from the main bus depot (the South Depot at the main building).
(There has been another, post-refurbishment change to the rooms since we were there -- the bedspreads have been replaced by the white duvets, with a strip of the former bedspreads being used a as a decorative bed scarf at the foot of the bed.)
With a wheelchair, unless you've already reserved a "preferred" room close to the main building, you may want to ask for "Building 16" (the closest non-preferred building) or something else near the main building. We were in building 17 last time and it was great, but it would have gotten annoying had we been much further away from the main bus depot and food court.
For details on anything going on at PORS, I check this website periodically. It's an "unofficial" fan site, but it is updated frequently and has a lot of good information:
