POR Princess Theme Rooms

Anyone booked into the new princess theme rooms at por? It's my understanding they open in about 2 days. We stayed in a pirate room at cbr last fall and thought it was fun. Was wondering what everyone thinks of the new princess rooms. My granddaughter wants to take me to disney for my birthday so we're booked in for the weekend after my birthday later this month (i haven't told her about the type of room tho :animwink.

I initially booked one for our Nov trip, but I started having second thoughts...everything from room size, walk to the bus, and travel times. I was going to surprise our girls, but decided to ask what they wanted hotel wise next time we go to WDW. Turns out they just want to stay at the hotel we stayed at over the summer (CR). I even showed them the royal rooms at POR and while they said they were neat, they said they didn't want to stay there. I found it strange since they love EVERYTHING princess :king:, but I asked them several times and they said no royal room. Crazy kids :lol: I think it may be next week when people get to stay in them- so you should start seeing reviews pretty soon.

kids are funny that way. we stayed at por before and were in either one of the buildings that has since been turned into the princess rooms or right next door so i'm good there but we also have the benefit of living close enough to drive so jumping in the car if needed is no big deal. we have stayed at about 2/3 of the resorts so thought we'd do something new so i'm looking forward to seeing what they look like. my daughter had us stay in a pirates room at cbr for her 22nd birthday trip last fall when we went for food and wine...just goes to show even the big kids are crazy. :shrug:

I'm actually staying in one in September n my girls know we'll be at "the dragon pool" but they don'
t know we upgraded to the royal room ,they'll know when they open the door n not a moment sooner,can't wait
