If I had to choose, I would stay at CB. It's been renovated recently, and is a heck of alot more colorful and cheerful than POR. We were supposed to stay at POR awhile back, but found it too depressing so we didn't make reservations there. But that's just my opinion. Have a fun trip wherever you are!

I would go with CBR, no hestitation at all. I was not impressed with POR when I toured it a couple of years ago. I have stayed at CBR at least 6 times, and enjoyed it everytime. It is just more colorful and lively. I was a little disappointed this June though, the CBR used to have a steel drum band at night and it wasn't there this year.

If you are staying with young kids, I would go with POR. CB is too spread out and depending on where your room is, there could be a lot of walking, especially to the food court and main pool. Stayed at both, kids preferred POR.

We have stayed at both, and loved things at each.

POR is peaceful, quiet and beautifully landscaped with a southern feel to it. The food court is excellent and it has the boat to downtown disney. We didnt use the main pool but the quiet pools were great. Boatwrights is an awesome place to eat and it has a good gift shop. The rooms at Alligator Bayou were nice and had recently been redone. We found the housekeeping to be good, no problems but nothing special...we even left tips in funny situations with our plush toys to try to get them to do something special but it didnt work. Bus service was very good...no long waits at all. It seemed like a long ride to animal kingdom here but not too long to the other parks.

CBR is bright, colorful and has a carribean feel to it. You are surrounded by palm trees and beatiful water. We loved feeding the ducks and the swimming pools were great. Yes, you could have a walk with this resort but we found the walk relaxing, especially at night. We loved the poolside bar and carribean music that plays there. The gift shop is huge and has everything you could want. We werent impressed with Shutters because of the tiny servings but the food was good. The kids loved the tatoo's and braiding offered outside by the main pool. The rooms were a little bit bigger than POR and we had a coffee maker in our room. The housekeeping was very accomodating here...we even had suprises each day...baby chicks and bunnies out of washcloths and little notes left. Bus service was good...a few times we waited 10-15 minutes but the busses were always packed at night and sometimes you had a few stops before yours. This place was very close to mgm & epcot...very short rides

we preferred CBR but only because POR looked similar to home...we never see palm trees in Ohio :)
