PoPC vs CBR

So looks like there is only a couple of hundred $$ difference between my total stay at Pop Century vs Caribbean Beach Resort.

Is the upgrade worth it? My main concern is transport, I will be using the buses.

You know what's funny?

Many talk about CBR having bus issues but I never noticed it during my stay in October. They were pretty prompt, although sometimes packed. But I experienced the same at other moderate resorts. So I would not be concerned about transportation.

I stayed in the Jamaica building. It had their newly renovated rooms, and for like 3 out of the 4 parks (or all, can't remember), it was the first stop coming back from the parks after a long day.

Thanks, have decided to spend the little bit extra and have book my stay.

It depends where your priorities are.
If you're a fan of actually themeing at the resorts and staying somewhere "nice", I would say Caribbean Beach is a huge step up from Pop.
Having stayed at both places, Caribbean Beach wasn't necessarily nicer in terms of amenities or room size or anything, but it definitely "felt" better than Pop with its huge, garishly decorated buildings and questionable theme. It was certainly a much farther walk to get food or reach the pool or anything like that at Caribbean, but since the grounds were so much nicer I didn't mind wandering around a bit. Pop is far more convenient but everything is kind of tacky and gross.

As far as transportation, I feel like Caribbean may actually have an edge on Pop- while it does take quite a bit of time to get to and from the resort (because of the way the buses cycle through all the different resort stops) the actual trips are much more pleasant, both due to the fact that the buses probably won't be as crowded with young children as they will be at Pop and also because Pop has covered waiting areas rather than an exposed queuing area.

Have stayed at both. Enjoyed both. Would go back to both. Had a rental car at both, but it seemed like the drives were comparable to the parks. CBR has a prettier ambiance with the lagoon/beaches/hammocks/steel drum music. CBR is getting Queen size beds if that matters to you, but not all rooms have them yet.
