Hello everyone,

This will be our first Christmas season going to WDW we usually go during the fall break. We will be at AKL Dec 4-11th. I've been hearing about 'Pop Warner'. What is that? And how does that effect the crowds at the park.
Thanks for the info!!

They do not effect the parks all that much but if you are staying at their resort (typically All Star Sports) I would suggest packing earplugs and Xanax.

At least you are not staying at AS Sports, OMG. We went one year (only time we could) and the kids were all at the resort and Sports was the only resort that had room left of the values. The kids were soooooooooo loud, well past 10pm too, we were in the baseball rooms so it ended up we were close to the baseball pool, they took that pool over, we ended up going to the other pool with our 7 month old.

We am coming to WDW in December.
We want to stay at Orleans Riverside resort, because thats where we had our honeymoon.
We had our chance to book it for the first time in five years.

But we refuse to go there because of the horror stories of Pop Warner, as POR is used by them.

We have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside during Pop Warner 3 or 4 times and have never run into an issue with them there. I assume that there are fewer of them there and the mob mentality gets stepped down a notch or two.

You may be right. But this vacation costs us $$$$ and I don't want to run the risk of ruining it because of Pop Warner. We come to WDW to have a good time, not to end up killing someone.

Does not matter your size, some of those kids are just really rude. Last year we went during pop warner and 90% of the time it was just fine. We stayed at the Poly so there was no problem there, but a couple of times we ran into them in the parks. They were rowdy, cutting lines, swearing, all while being unsupervised. But like I said it was just a very small fraction of the time we were there and it did not ruin our trip at all.
