well there are signs pointing to an opening sooner rather than later but untill Disney officially announces it is not currenty know if they intend to be open for Christmas of 03 or not. if they dont announce by november then it might be a good bet to wait untill early 04 for any opening, suposedly the economy tainted with war worries has slowed things some and bookings are down so the space isn't currently cost effective to have open

Disney has decided to declare Pop Century as a property for its 2003 taxes...therefore, it will almost certainly open sometime this year--they wouldn't pay for it if they didn't plan on opening it.

But yeah, some time in 2003 expect to see it open.

The latest word that I am hearing is that it is 99% ready to open. Disney is just waiting for the DEMAND to open it. Once that happens... then it'll open up.
