PoP Century Resort Question

pop century was orignally spossed to have 2 parts the 1900-1940s and 1950-1990s they started building the 1900-1940s but stoped construction, so my question is does any one know why they stoped construction? if you do i would love to know

Wow, it just dawned on me that the Pop CENTURY Resort only respresents half a century.:hammer:
The 9/11 logic definitely makes sense though.

Thats usually why I always refer to it as Pop half century.

I'm staying there for 3 days in August (cuz im a poor college student). I'll ask a manager or two if they know anything.

BTW, today my mom asked about my trip and said "Are you staying at an All Star or Pop Secret?" :lol:

That is the rumor I heard as well.

Also, the Vacation Club is selling so well they are focusing on those properties right now. Bigger profit margin.

I know it took forever for them to build the first set of buildings in the first place. We booked a vacation there, got moved... and couldn't go there a year later still. But oh well, I'm pretty sure the drop post-9/11 is one if not the cause for the stoppage. It's really sad to see the other side in the state it's in today as most of the prep work is already done, but its just sitting there. There are plans/rumors that since the All Star Family Suites tested so well, they'll be focusing on those when building the Legendary Years.

On my last trip last summer i was walking over that bridge that leads to the other part of POP. A lifeguard on his bike came over to us and we got into a long discussion and i asked him why they never finished it. And he told me they stopped after 9/11 happened. They still have security there that rides around during the day and at night. They are however, going to eventually finish it. But there was word going around they were going to make them into suites like All Star Music did.
