You know, I think the demand for Pop Century is way up. I'd stay there too if given the option, but instead I have to go All Stars this time. Are they afraid of taking away from All Stars attendance when this resort opens? I'm sure Pop Century will be booked.

I think that having the Pop Century will be a big bonus! Instead of people deciding not to go because they can't get into an AS resort, they will default to Pop Century. The people who are waiting to stay at Pop Century will be trying to book too.

I tried to book reservations in Pop Century and they said that they are not making reservatoins for those rooms because they don't know when it is going to open. I'm was trying to make reservations for Dec 24, 2003:cry:

I think that Disney is doign this on purpose. I think they keep pushing it back so that the demand goes up and then they sell out rooms for the next year to make up for the losses. But I would say dont even expect any new offical news from Disney on the Pop Century until at least Fall. Disney still needs to hire the tons of people that it needs to run the resort. I also dont buy the whole sob story about how disney is hurting, I dont see how a multi billion dollar company liek Disney can cry about a drop in park attendience and use it as an excuse for why Pop Century is not opening. I think that if Disney got off their ___ and moved quicker they could make some good money of this resort. Considering that its the first Value resort with a lake will draw the usual moderate resort guests and the value guests to come there insted. I think there is something else behind all of this then just what they say.

Corporate Cover-up is a nasty beast indeed. One that should never rear it's head to the public... especially in Disney. You may have something there, possible more behind the scenes than we will or may ever know. As long as it opens someday.:)

Yeah, as long as it opens soon, I am happy. I hope Disney is not pulling an Enron, maybe its just because they are too lazy, but as I said I don't buy this whole, were broke thing that Disney is pulling. I mean if they were loosing money why did they start building another theme park, which is reported to be doomed due to the Asian themeing. sounds like pay backs for getting screwed with the Orential Land Co. deal.
