Be carefull when you request preferred, we requested preferred, got it (paid a little extra for it) and it wasn't a good location, it was the building they considered "preferred", but it was on the far end and backside. When make the ressie's tell them up front exactly what area you want. magicalkingdoms.com have the maps to the resorts on their website. you can stake out which area looks appealing to you.

There is no exact building you will be placed in - "preferred" simply means that you will be closer to the food court and bus stop. If you would like to stay in a certain building, call and request it.

Both times I've stayed in the 1960's and I was pretty much in the same spot..Ironically I was above & to the left of my other room I stayed in during 2008.

This happened to me once also. When I complained to the front desk that my room was pretty far from the bus stop and food court for a "preferred" room I was told that the room was within a certain amount of feet (not sure how far) from the food court which made it preferred. It wasn't bad but it was far enough away that I didn't think it was worth the extra money.

I am not going to fret about it. It was only $3 more with the new AP discount. In May I was in the 50s building (which was relatively a long walk but doable). I am just happy to be staying at POP it is my favorite resort amongst the values.
