We are looking to go down in November for a long weekend.
Friday - Monday/Tuesday

It will be 4 adults. (age range between 25-48 y/o)

My two options are
1. Standard Room at Pop
2. Standard Room at Coronado (non tower room)

Coronado is about $350~ extra.

We have annual passes and we're booking ours flights with some mile rewards we have.

Thoughts?

I have changed from the All Star Resorts to Pop Century because it would come out to only about $10 more a night and they don't share buses. Now, pricing my next trip Pop Century has gone up a lot. Probably because of the gondola (?). if everyone in your group is sharing the room cost (only goes up about ($88 per person) i would go for the Coronado Springs. the difference from value to moderate...personally since i am a park person (out of the room by 7am and on the first bus to the park) i would switch to the All Star resorts. I have done all the value and all the moderates. with all the extras for the moderates, i never used them anyway. use the room for a shower and sleep.

For 4 adults i'd lean towards Coronado simply based on space. With the refurbs both rooms will now have 2 queen beds but value resort rooms tend to be slightly smaller and may feel a little crowded. On the other hand, one of the beds at Pop is a murphy bed so you can leave it up and have more space when people aren't sleeping.

How much time do you plan on spending at the hotel? Coronado will probably offer better hotel amenities simply given the fact that it has a better pool and pool bar and far more dining options.

In terms of transportation, Pop is the winner because the Gondolas give an extra option of transportation to Epcot and DHS while at Coronado you can only take to bus to get to any park.

At the end of the day it will depend on what your group values more!

Just got back from a split stay, 1 night regular Cabana room and 2 nights standard view Tower. The standard tower room is really great, it faces fireworks at Epcot and DHS. Feels like a Deluxe category for sure. Big bathroom area with no tub, tiled shower. The regular Cabana room was upgraded and very nice as well. Two sinks, don't know if Pop has that with the remodel? Gondolas aren't available until September 29. Only the bus for transporation although there are not a lot of guests at bus stopped, it seemed. More space for sure for 4 adults, at the Values, the door almost hits the bed when you come in. If you can swing it CS for adults, Pop with kids.

CSR would probably be a better bet with four adults; the extra room will come in handy. Keep in mind also that only the toilet/shower has a door. The sink is a relatively open area.
