POP Century Era Help!!

Currently I've requested to stay in the "70's era near transportation" but I would like to know where you would suggest that I request to stay at POP. We have a preferred room and it will just be my wife and I. We would like to possibly stay in the "quietest" era but also be really close to the main building for transport. I noticed that the 70's era doesn't have a pool so I'm thinking that might be a solid choice when it comes to it being a little quieter. So what should I request? Thanks!!

We stayed at the 80's a year ago and the walk was pretty far (we have 2 little boys). I feel like the map is a little deceptive. We would have stayed at the one closest to the main building. The pool was not crowded at night so noise wouldn't have been an issue. We went during February so it was pretty dead. In the hotter months the pool may be louder.

We liked the resort. The decorations are pretty fun!

You might also want to think about the 50s section, there is the bowling pin pool, most of the buildings seem close to the main hall and you don't have the noise from the main pool. I have stayed there 3 times, all of the stays in the 60s, two of which overlooked the main pool and we were tired enough not to be bothered by any noise that came from the pool area. However, top floor you don't hear the toilets flushing from above, just a thought.

When staying at Pop we always ask for the 50's building close to the front. It is not a preferred spot so cost is less. We are two adults, me and my 87 yr old mother. It has a quiet pool near by and also the main pool. Walking to the front is a very short walk. We have found it always quiet there. We like being near the bowling pin pool it is much quieter there then the main pool.

We stayed at POP twice, both times in June and July in the 50s building facing the lake on the 3rd floor. It is quiet and not that far of a walk to the main building and buses. We are staying at POP again this July and are going to request a room in that area again. We always ask for the higher floors. One time we had the 4th and the second the 3rd. You don't hear much noise on the higher floors.

70s is my favorite to stay in due to location and the decorations. However, if you are looking for quiet, the 50s as long as you are not facing the pool is quietest. We had a room on the second floor facing the lake and it was always very quiet.

We stayed at POP last Oct. I have a child with medical issues and quiet is always important. We stayed in the 50's era in Lady's building near the main building on the back side. Very quiet. Didn't hear any noise.

Last time we stayed at Pop, we were in the 70's buildings [building 10] and we were in the back of the building. Easy walk to the buses without going through the main building, just went through the parking lot. :king:

80's is defiinitely a little far but if you want quiet, it's the way to go. We were in the 80's building and had a view of the lake. Very quiet area. You can always park your car near the front before hopping on the buses and then drive around back at the end of the day.

I loved being in the 50's section. From the top floor we opened our door and saw the fireworks from Epcot (what you could see above tree level anyway)

It is next to the bowling pin pool and in our entire stay the most I saw in the pool was maybe 5 people - that was just after Easter, April 12-17th. The pool was empty every day until at least noon - we had swim time in the morning and it was always just us in the pool.

The walk to the bus isn't bad, just pass the pool and you are almost to the main building, pass through the building and you're at the busses.

As others have said top floors are quieter

I think only the 60's buildings are preferred, so you likely won't get the 70's. There is also now a separate booking category for pool view and non-pool view, so you should know whether or not you will be near the pool. We stayed in the 60's building on the right, facing away from the pool, on the third floor and it was great. You can even see Illuminations!

For your situation, you could probably just request to near Classic Hall and/or an upper floor, since you know which decade you'll be in and you probably won't be facing the pool. The only hitch is that pool view is more expensive, so you may get a free "upgrade".
