ponchos!

every year I pack ponchos ..every year we end up having to buy more because we left ours in the room ..so how many other people have thier own collection of WDW ponchos?? I think currently I have 6 sets of 4 yellow ones and 3 sets of 4 AK ones. Of course they are good for home too like my mickey umbrella I bought at PO that has ears ..when every I use it around town it gets smiles from everyone ..specially kids !

we have our own collection of ponchos. When we were down their in August we were waiting for Fantasmic and the sky turned Grey. All of a sudden all the light toy venders switched to Poncho Venders. Then it started to pour!!! We ended up having to buy our 3rd set I think. And the weather forecast said no rain that day, but it's florida.

Ponchos are a bit unconfortable for attractions, so if there isn't raining much...let the rain be.

i think its so funny when suddenly it starts pouring down and all you can see is this big mass of yellow!! (when thats what colour they where when i was last there....or was it red :veryconfu )

They have been yellow for as long as I can remember.

I don't understand why AK gets different stuff than the other parks though. They have different Spray fans and ponchos.

yellow ..but at AK they have biege ones ..and yep ..just a sea of yellow when it starts to rain

I have at least two full sets of ponchos for the whole family...I think it's because I'm always so optimistic that it won't rain, after all, and that we won't need them that particular day! And, hey, they're a cheap and re-useable souvenir, too!

Time for me to seem all macho and stuff...

I am a tough guy..I know im not about to melt from a bit of rain..so once its starts coming down..I just walk right thru it. Cold? maybe..but its refreshing.

i know what you mean, but if it rains in the morning, and you have to spend the whole day in them, it kinda gets uncomfortable. , i suppose its ok if you live closeby though

I know what you mean ..we never think it will rain ..or if it does it wont it wont last or be bad. and they do make great suoveniers

The Family closet has:

7 yellow mickey Ponchos

2 old clear Epcot Ponchos

and 1 old Universal Studios Poncho.

They're all from when we were kids, so I also am a MAN, and I tough it out now a days!!!

Speaking of toughing it out, brings back memories, our class trip to DC, it started to down pour in Arlington National Cemetery and I didn't feel like spending $7 bucks on an umbrella, so I got totally soaked, but it was worth it!

We have lots of yellow Mickey ponchos, but once again, Tink, we are the same. Every trip I buy cheaper ponchos from Walmart and pack them so we can "save money" and not have to buy them at the parks. Well, every time, I forget them, except the last time. And you know what happened then? Everyone wanted to buy a Mickey one and no one (not even me, LOL!) ended up using our clear Walmart ones :lol:
So, this time, we'll just buy them there if it rains.

100 PONCHOS!!

I have at leats 100 ponchos form last year, and this January on the weekend of the 22nd for a family of five we went through like 20 ponchos, they are crap thet break right down the middle!:lol:

Guess we've just been lucky - our ponchos seem to last longer than we do! And it's true - no one in my family, including my tight-with-a-nickel hubby, would be caught dead at WDW in a Wal-Mart poncho, anyway.

Our Disney Ponchos have with stood it all .. we have ponchos from '92 .. the kids have worn them to school and they are still in one piece but I am sure we will get more this year

They should change them every so often. Like they could have put a 100 years of magic logo on the back.
