Polynesian Refurb

Hello! I am possibly going to be staying at the Polynesian from 7/01 - 7/05 (great deal for passholders!) but since the great deal is going on, I was wondering why. We asked a cast member and they said refurb will be going on and that is probably the reason. From experience, would it be noisy? Do you recommended staying there during a refurb?

There will also be construction taking place in the lobby, and in a number of the long houses.

My current feeling is that I would rather stay at other WDW resorts during this work. Construction is always noisy and not pretty to see.
