Has anyone purchased breakfast items in the gift shop? We don’t need a lot so I don’t want to go a full grocery delivery. Thinking a box of waffles, a box of mini muffins, flavored coffee creamer, bagels. How are the prices?

The solution we tend to do in that situation is to try and pack items in our luggage.

The selection at the resorts can be, in my experience, a bit hit or miss. The Dolphin has a place called Fuel that has some nice selections, if a bit pricey and you happen to be visiting over that way.

We also tend to have a car, and we almost always get some bottled water, so if we need food - personally- we tend to just pick up food at the same time. On recent trips, we were able to do a pick-up order at Target. That was super quick and easy for us.

One option I really like is to buy shelf stable milk boxes for my coffee. You can bring them in checked luggage. Sometimes you can pick them up in the airport too, with kids' meals, though a bit $$. (Horizon milk boxes are often sold chilled with kid meals or solo, but are shelf-stable.)

Come to think of it, I have done that too: bought food items at MCO to eat for breakfast. It is $$ for what you get, but it is quick and easy. Depending on where you are staying, if you do online check-in, hiking over to the hotel gift shop can be somewhat inconvenient.

If you are NOT at a DVC room, then the dorm fridge also leaves much to be desired. Important to know: the newer ones at the Contemporary aren't even dorm cubes. They are ONLY 'beverage chillers,' and NOT very cold. You can chill water, but they are not cold enough for most perishable dairy/meat at safe temps.

Pricier than doing a run to Publix but cheaper than buying the same items at a QF all the time.

We get breakfast items from bread, butter and milk to bacon, sausages and eggs if we need to. Sure we spend a bit more than we would elsewhere but we don’t worry about it.

Thank you! We rented DVC at the Poly. First time staying there! I’m thinking we will do a mix of packing non perishables from home and purchasing on site.

That’s what I’m thinking. Debating if we should just purchase some breakfast items there or do a grocery delivery 🤔
Admittedly, we've never used any delivery. I don't want to wait for a delivery, and the prices always seemed high. The one thing I've tried was package delivery (box mailed to the hotel), but they no longer allow that, or so I was told. I wish I had more specific info on the gift shop pricing to offer, but all I can say is they are pretty high when I've looked. It is a little less than buying meals in the food court, but not by much.

For us, getting out the door on time at WDW has always been a bit of a challenge. Now WDW had added the plus Magicbands, and booking G+, trying to get a BG for GoG =WDW mornings are busier than ever.

We tend to do continental breakfasts at home, so that's what we do at WDW: fruit, yogurt, granola bars. We like the "Just Fruit" dried bars. Tangerines travel well and are easy to peel. Instant oatmeal is another option.
