Polynesian bus question

February will be my first time at Polynesian, but far from my first time at WDW. I have a Poly bus question.

I have a MK view room and am requesting a room in Tahiti. IF I get that request, I know I'll be relatively close to the TTC. So my question is, when we want to go by bus to Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, will we be better off getting a bus at Poly itself or walking to the TTC and catching an AK or DHS bus there?

The only time I caught an AK bus at the TTC (we were coming from MK), it seemed like a pretty long wait. Do you think the park buses at TTC run less often than at the resorts?

I have never stayed at the Poly so i dont know which bus stop is closer. I would however think the TTC bus stops will be more crowded based on the fact it is a main transportation hub for the resort.

It's easier to take the poly bus to ak and dhs but on the way back to the poly the ttc and poly bus stops are right next to each other so take the bus that comes first becuase the ttc is only a 2 min walk from the tahiti longhouse...also walk to the ttc to take the monorail to epcot rather than going around the whole loop to get to the ttc

I can answer this from experience. I have stayed at the Poly twice, both times in Tahiti. Definitely use the TTC buses to the Studios and AK. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the TTC bus stop from Tahiti, and you will go directly to the park. If you use the Poly bus stop, you will share your bus with another MK resort. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus to or from the TTC. I'm sure you know this, but use the TTC for monorail access, too. Much quicker than walking to the GCH from Tahiti.

The poly only shares a bus with the contemporary and it is the last stop so when the bus comes to the poly it goes directly to ak, dhs, or dtd.

True, but if the bus goes to the Contemporary first, by the time it gets to the Poly it can be pretty full and those guests getting on at the Poly would have to stand. This happened to us a couple of times, and with young kids, standing on a bus is not fun. That's why we started using the TTC stop. Once we did, we never went back to the Poly stop.

The Polynesian also shares a bus with the GF. It goes Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian on its route. Some times of the year because of crowds and other factors it might skip one or the other and sometimes it shares with the Wilderness Lodge instead of the Contemporary but during most of the year it is Cont., Poly and GF in that order.
