Poly - Standard View Room

Yes, we're braving the Poly even though it's a construction zone. I just couldn't resist the 30% off discount, I kind of like the idea of trekking over to Blizzard Beach, and it's the only MK or Epcot area resort for our dates that had discounted rooms available. Hey, that savings was nearly the price of our park tickets!

Ultimately, the Poly is worth it to me for the convenience...but I still can't figure out what I should be requesting. I mean- I know we want a balcony or a patio, but beyond that...I just don't know what to request. Yes, I've gone over all of the info on Tikiman's website and it looks like there are 4 longhouses that would be options, but I still can't narrow it down. The construction obviously makes it even a bit harder to choose. So, I'm hoping for opinions based on personal experience to help me narrow this down. :)

So, if it were you and you were booked in a standard view...what would you request?

Rarotonga for both central location and view. One side will have views of the quiet pool (and no construction fences!) the other side will overlook garden area/monorail. Rarotonga is right next to the GCH for monorail access (and you can get to Capt. Cooks from the inside instead of walking through the construction zone); exiting through the east end of the building puts you right next to the bus stop; and it is a quick walk to the TTC for the Epcot monorail.

Though Tuvalu is my favorite for lagoon/theme park views ;), the standard views are lousy and it is a long walk around the marina.

This helps a lot! It sounds like it's in a great position for the bulk of our daily needs/preferences. Thank you!

I definately agree with this. However, I would suggest requesting a quiet pool view.

Hi HouCuseChickie!
We love Fiji, Standard View Room - any floor. As Tuvalu said about Rarotnga, Fiji 2nd floor rooms also do not have balconies.
Have a blast!

I would request Samoa 1st floor. With the construction side of Samoa closed the only rooms open are those facing the East pool. If you want a king bed there are some rooms available. The first floor gives you an open patio so you can walk back and forth from the pool from your room.
