Points and Cash - How does this work?

Have there been cases when you stayed on points for a few nights and then added a couple of nights on cash? We are looking at SSRS in June 2010 and will stradle two seasons. We currently are thinking of a two bedroom and a studio starting on Sunday and ending Saturday. Points go up on Friday as that is the first day in Magic Season. Does anyone know how this works and what the discount is for DVC who want to pay cash for a few nights?

You can book a room at a DVC resort via cash by calling Member Services. There is a 25% discount that may or may not be available.

You may also want to look at “renting” points, it may be cheaper.
