Pointless lightning lanes?

Does anybody know the reasoning behind having lightning lanes to things like Philharmonic, Muppet Show, or Pixar Short Films?

I've never once seen a line for any of these. Have I just been lucky?

Walt Disney World is still mostly first time visitors and first-time visitors do not know this. So they May book this because it's Walt Disney World and of course Walt Disney World has long lines so of course these attractions have long lines and some of these people May genuinely be interested in experiencing things like Muppet vision 3D without realizing that there's not going to be a line for it. So they waste lightning Lane opportunity on it.

But I wonder what kind of damage it does to the brand when they do go to Muppet vision and they see there's no line and now they're wondering what was the point of paying for a lightning lane to express themselves onto an attraction that didn't need to be expressed. I'm sure they feel really great about their purchase at that point. 🙄
