Some of you may know Jimmy Wayne, an amazing country singer that also walked half-way across America in a bid to raise awareness of kids in foster care and those who graduate out. He is not only a good singer ("Do You Believe Me Now?," "I Love You This Much," "Paper Angels," etc.), but he had a difficult childhood -- and he does a lot these days to give back.
One story today struck me, and I really recommend it to you all.
He posted on Facebook today about a trip that he took today to Disneyland with a 16-year-old with Cystic Fibrosis. I thought I would share it here, but Facebook will not let me copy and paste. But you can see it on his Facebook page (which you should be able to see as it is an artists' page). Right now it is up top, but if you are reading this later, it should be dated 8-25-14. You can't miss the DL pictures anyway.

I was reading it right after I had been here earlier reading about MM+ and people's frustrations with the Be Our Guest restaurant lunch Fast Pass fiasco -- and it really helped put that into perspective for me. I mean this young girl did her best to show Disneyland to her visiting friend, Jimmy Wayne, but her disease limited what she had the energy to do. No mention of FastPass or even the handicap program cards. Just some time together at what was billed as The Happiest Place on Earth, which was cut short but still meaningful.
Just thought I would share, and I put it here in Chit-Chat because I realized that it really wasn't about Disneyland, or Disney for that matter. It was about something bigger altogether. The comment about the turnstiles really got me. I hope I never forget things like that.
