I know a couple of years ago they moved room assigners to one central team. And at the same time moved away from faxes, for example Touring Plans was given an email address to contact them.

I would just call WDW reservations and have the room request added to your reservation. Or use the Touring Plans service. No point in doing both though, the requests end up in the same place either way.

Having said that, the DVC grocery order forms still need to be faxed in, so there must still be fax machines at least at the DVC resorts.

That seemed to go through... thank you!

I looked into touring plans room request, but I would probably only use TP for the request, so I couldn't justify the price.

not sure where u requested to stay, but 2 years ago we had a great spot in building #4, 3rd floor corner room with a king bed. we were seconds away from the food court & lobby & a minute from the bus stops. we’re staying there next november & will try to get the same room again if possible. good luck with your request.

To be totally honest my last two TP requests were not entered for my room. I only know this because I was having MDE issues and stopped by the Polynesian desk to see if room was ready. They asked if I had any room requests, as none were entered. I had a split stay and moved on to SSR next. I filled out a form about my room mentioning how loud the elevator boop/bell was in my room and the manager called to chat. Mentioned no room requests were there and suggested for future to just ask for far from elevator next time. A friend at a different resort had similar issues.

Considering my June room assignment was nothing like what I asked for - but did love it in the end ‐ I'm thinking after 3 for 3 failures, TP just isn't worth it. I have a March trip coming and I think I'm going to drop TP request entirely. Not worth the rest IMO.

I'll be sticking to contacting Disney myself via email or phone or chat if available for me through member services.
