Pleasure Island - Have to be 21???

Hey guys - me and my cousin and two best friends are going in May and though three of us are over 21, my cousin will only be 20, and we want to spend time on Pleasure Island one night. I heard something about how Sun - Wed nights you only have to be 18 to get onto the Island. Is that right?? Thanks!

There are some clubs on PI that are either 18 or 21 and up. (Motions and Mannequins I think). PI is not like it uses to be where you needed a ticket to get onto the island. You can now walk thru just like DTD but you will need a ticket to get into the clubs. With an adult kids are even allowed at most of the clubs until midnight.

edit: from Disneys offical site
Admission required to enter Pleasure Island nightclubs. Under 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older who has an acceptable form of identification. Must be 18 years or older to enter Club Motion. Must be 18 years or older to enter Mannequins Dance Palace Sunday through Wednesday. Must be 21 or older to enter Mannequins Dance Palace and BET SoundsStage™ Club Thursday through Saturday. Valid photo I.D. required. All Clubs are non-smoking.

And they really do check your id. Last time I went to P.I. despite having the 21+ wristband, and despite clearly being over 21 (I'm 27), we had to show our ID each time we entered Mannequins.

It's a cool club though.

Oh yes, they certainly do check ID, I showed mine in 2003 at the turnstiles to the main island and was given a wristband and then had to show ID again in the Adventurers Club to buy a cocktail!!

wow, I feel old now, i'm only 28.
I only had my id checked the first time when getting a wristband.
Never to get into a club or buy a drink.
Maybe it was just the people there at that time

To you and I this seems annoying but think about the legal issues with underage drinking. Someone might buy a ticket to get into a club for someone under the drinking age. If the clubs didn't check it again then that person would be able to drink.

Disney is just watching out for themselves. If they are reported for even 1 drink served to a minor, they could have their license revoked and all of Pleasure Island would be shut down for a while.
