The only thing disney is required to do is honor your DVC contract. They don't have to give us anything else. All of the extra perks and discounts are great but are subject to change or be discontinued at any time. When DVC first started back in the 90's you were given free park passes for everyone during your stay. I would love it if they went back to that but, they've found they don't need to offer that incentive any more. They don't even have to allow you to trade your points for stays at non-DVC hotels. At some point SSR owners might not be allowed to use points to stay at the DVC properties that expire in 2042. It was a big deal just getting the Dining Plan available for DVC members staying at DVC properties, otherwise you must purchase a package in order to get the Dining plan option for your stay. For example, the upcoming "Free Dining" available in August and September can only be done if you pay full price for the hotel room so people using an Annual Pass rate can't get the Dining Plan. We bought DVC to stay at DVC Hotels and we love it. Now if they try to take away the Annual Pass $100 discount, I'll be upset.
